Students love to practice their addition facts and identify odd and even numbers with this quick game. It is a simple version of the old "rock, paper, scissors" game. Partners decide who wants to "be" Odd or Even. Partners call out the old "1, 2, 3, Shoot!" and each partner takes the hidden hand and displays a certain number of fingers. Together the team creates a number sentence to describe the amount of fingers displayed in all. The sentence is recorded on a game form and the players determine if the sum is an odd or even number, translated to a point for the Odd or Even player. This is great for before schoolwork, center work, homework with a family member, and anytime you need something quick, but valuable and effective.
