Students sort numbers into two groups, odd or even.
In these sorts pictures of the number on ten frames allows the students to prove why a number is odd or even by circling pairs or splitting it in half.

Also included:
*Word problems about putting students in teams or pairs
*Recoding sheet in which students use blocks or drawings to determine if a number can be split into pairs and 2 teams.
When students share their results they can deepen their understanding of even and odd as they answer questions like: If we can split a number into pairs will we always be able to make 2 equal teams? How many leftovers are there when a number is odd?
