In teaching Homer's Odyssey to my Greek Literature classes (upperclassmen) or to my Freshman English classes, I found that they all tend to get confused by all the stops in Odysseus' journey home to Ithaca. To help them, I created my "Journey Home Chart" in which they plug in the information on where Odysseus and his men stopped, who they ran into, how many ships/men were lost, and a quick question to prompt their memories. Even my colleagues have commented on how much more successful their students were on tests (and general understanding) when they used this chart. Answer Key Included.
NOTE: The name spellings used are the common spellings often seen in textbooks (can be adjusted as needed in Word). If you are using the R. Lattimore translation (or one with similar name spellings), I have that available as well.
