Product Description
Odysseus is in the midst of a moral dilemma. Should he stay on the island of beautiful women (with Calypso) or should he return to his wife, Penelope?. While reading the CALYPSO scene, pause for a memorable "Song of the Day" lesson. Students will listen to two modern songs and then complete a handout to analyze the tone, persuasive appeal and character connections to the lyrics. This can be done as a quick "reading break" lesson during class or it can be assigned as homework. The handout is easy to edit and ready for classroom use TODAY!

This lesson includes a 3-page handout (including lyrics).
