Oedipus Google Doc ABC Book: Collaborative Writing and Citing Activity → Editable files! Collaborative activity!
This collaborative activity requires students to use their research and documentation skills to create ABC Book pages based upon the play Oedipus Rex. The entire class will work together in a Google Doc, and, as they work, you’ll be there, right beside them, providing them with formative feedback every step of the way! You’ll really love the opportunity to use the comment feature in Google Docs to check students’ APA in-text and full citations on their pages. This is a fun—but rigorous—activity for Honors students.
I use this activity in a 1:1 school, but students could work in pairs at computers if your technology is limited. My school uses APA format in all classes, but you could easily substitute MLA format. Also, the activity can still be done effectively without citations if you need to differentiate a little for struggling readers and writers.
This activity is also a part of my Oedipus FUN Bundle
