It requires students to analyze and understand the character, Crooks, and determine why he may act the way he does. Students are required to delve into his fears, beliefs, and relationships and the effects of loneliness on health.
Students must write a poem from Crooks's point of view, following a rhyme scheme and other poetry criteria.
