Of Mice and Men is a seminal novella in the canon of American literature. It's by far my favorite novel to teach in my high school classroom.
All of chapter 5 is my preview file, so you can have that one for free!
Ever wished you could hand out homework and trust every student to DO THEIR OWN WORK without unsanctioned "collaboration"? Now you can.
I have created graphic organizers for which students will read the same story but answer different questions, learn the same vocabulary at start of each chapter but do in-depth work on different vocabulary words, and engage in higher level thinking about the work once they have finished reading it. Furthermore, each chapter comes with Extended Activities, where students sequence main events, engage in writing prompts, properly rewrite bad sentences (this novel is AMAZING for this type of work), and think more deeply about what they've read. All the while, they will be held accountable by the system of organizers to complete their own work.
In addition, my organizers are differentiated for high level, grade level, and struggling/special needs learners. The cool thing is they look exactly the same so your special needs learners don't have to worry about embarrassment over getting differentiated work.
