After reading John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men and watching the 1992 film adaptation starring Gary Sinise and John Malkovich, students read two reviews of the film from Roger Ebert (Chicago Sun-Times) and Vincent Canby (NY Times). In groups, they evaluate the reviews using the accompanying handout and then use the reviews as models to compose their own review of the film.
