A great literature unit to use while reading Steinbeck's "Of Mice and Men." This unit includes reading comprehension questions and vocabulary activities for each chapter. It also includes a classroom debate activity, characterization activities to use throughout the novel, a understanding conflict in the novel activity, an activity where students read the poem the title of the novel was taken from, a final test, and more! Answer keys are provided for all activities that require one. Many activities require students to interact with each other, get out of their seats, and work with the novel in other ways than just reading it. A great unit for teacher's working with learning support students or in a classroom that requires teachers to differentiate instruction.
A wonderful way to change up your existing "Of Mice and Men" unit or to begin planning your unit if you are doing it for the first time.
All activities in this unit are also available for download individually. See my homepage and look under "NOVEL STUDY" for "Of Mice and Men" activities.
