This is a great art activity for the Christmas season that the kids can do themselves. I like that it reinforces the concept of ordering items from smallest to biggest (shortest to longest). There are 3 separate pages for the teacher to run off on colored card stock or construction paper, Each child will need a sheet of red (or whatever color you wish!) to use as their background. The children will cut our all 6 of the green rectangles and then place them in order from biggest to smallest. They will start by putting the biggest on the bottom and them continue gluing them in order ending with the shortest one on top. The students can then add the star and the tree stem. I usually cute the stars our in advance myself and then give them to the students since they are a bit harder to cut. You can use paint or simply a white crayon to add snow detail!!
