Your mathematicians will enjoy these four math centers that reinforce important beginning multiplication concepts such as: equal groups, arrays, skip counting, solving for the unknown, creating story problems, and more!
Ways to Represent: Students will each multiplication equation card with other possible ways to represent the equation (repeated addition, array, skip counting on a number line, and word form).
Students will record their matches on the corresponding recording sheet.
Equal Groups Draw & Solve: Students will choose a task card and read the multiplication problem. Then, students will draw a corresponding diagram or picture, write an equation,
and solve the problem.
Rockin Sockin Multiples: Students will pair a “people” card with the amount of sock cards needed. Then, students will complete the corresponding recording sheet.
Mystery Multiplying: Students will choose an equation card and solve for the unknown number. Once students have matched the correct unknown number with each equation, they will complete the corresponding recording sheet.
Happy Multiplying!! :)
