We work on this topic leading up to our larger unit on Native American regions and tribes. Not only do we use these pages in social studies, but we also use them in language arts, math and science. We put these pages into our interactive social studies notebooks so we can refer back to them as the year progresses. This year, we will be using notebooks in all content areas as a way to increase the rigor of our assignments. Students will be required to use this information to make inferences about how different tribes developed from these early Indian groups. We will also use this information in some of our writing projects.
Stay tuned for more!
