This is a fun and easy way to review and sort the short vowel sounds. When i did this with my kiddos, I gave them these 5 verbal and written directions *with picture clues) and demonstrated each step. I gave them only the page with Olaf first
Step One: Get your scissors
Step Two: Cut until you see the stop sign
Step Three: Fold along the black line
( After this is when I handed out the second page with the small pictures)
Step Four: Cut out one picture
Step Five: Glue the picture under the correct vowel.
Then just keep repeating step 4 and 5. This is my ninth year teaching kindergarten and I still have to kick myself sometimes for not breaking things and modeling it step by step. Even the simplest things can go awry when I forget this.
