These Old Lady Activities are designed to be used with the book, There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Rose!, by Lucille Colandro.
Please check out my other activities for this book and all the other Old Lady books on my TPT page.
++The students get to “feed” the Old Lady during circle time as you read the book, "There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Rose!", by Lucille Colandro. They LOVE feeding her and watching the pieces fall into her stomach! Everything the Old Lady ate is included in this activity.
++The kids can retell the story themselves and feed the old lady during center time.
**NOTE: the old lady manipulative is not included in this download, but please download her for FREE on my TPT page, and use her with this activity and all the other Old Lady books.
++This also includes a Sequencing/Retelling Activity: There are 10 large cards that can be used on a felt board, on a magnetic board, or in a center. Let the students put them in sequential order as they retell the story. This includes all the items the old lady ate, her "kiss", and a pic of the final card/gift to her dog.
++Also included here, is a Valentine's Card that the kids can decorate themselves. They will practice their cutting skills, by cutting out the hearts, candy, rose (items from the story) to glue to their card. A black & white and a color version is included.
Consider following me and watch for my future products. I will continue adding activities for all the Old Lady stories.
