Students can work individually or in pairs on this OldMacDonald Had A Farm, fill-in-the-blanks activity. It's the perfect activity to put at writing centers and will give students extra practice sounding out words and writing letters.
To get started, print and laminate the lyrics pages. Then cut out and laminate the farm animal word and picture cards.
Students interchange the animal picture cards and write the animal sound on the blank line with a dry-erase marker. When they finish writing the animal sound, they can erase it and get started with a new animal.
As an extension activity, students can draw their own animal and then write in the sound that animal makes on the blank line.
