If Old MacDonald sold his farm, what onomatopoeia-filled setting would he have? This question has delighted and challenged my students for the past decade or so.
Over the years, Old Mac has had a:
• Swimming pool
• Construction business
• Grocery store
• Cleaning service
...just to name a few!
In this product, you will find a fill-in-the-blank framework for creating a class book entitled “Old MacDonald Had a School.” You can choose to do it as a whole class, individually, or assign pages for students to complete at a literacy center.
There is also a fill-in-the-blank framework for students to complete an Old MacDonald book of their choice. Simply print the template and go! Students supply the ideas, onomatopoeia words, and the illustrations. What could be easier?
Younger students can be given individual pages to go along with a pre-selected theme that you assign. Older students can create an entire book by themselves with a theme of their choice.
Whatever you decide, your classroom will be BUZZING with fun...E-I-E-I-O.
