This logic puzzle is just in time for the Winter Olympics! It encourages critical thinking by asking students to determine the number of gold, silver, and bronze medals six different countries earned. Skills needed are greater than, less than, and rudimentary arithmetic. The challenge is in the logic of the puzzle here, so it could be used (with supports) for a 4th-grade class and still be engaging for high school freshmen. My students LOVE these puzzles and are always asking me to make more :)
Great for sub plans, for enrichment and brain breaks. Logic puzzles are also great for transitions or warm-up activities.
Included with the puzzle: one version with the logic grid set up, one version without - about half my students want the grid, the other half want the blank space. Answer key and a guide to how I solve logic puzzles is also a part of the download.
