This is a great activity in teaching deleting initial sound. For those students who are visual learners, they will see which sound is being deleted and sound out sounds that remain. For those students who are auditory learners, teacher can (orally) do 3 or 4 words daily. Use this activity at student center or whole group activity. Teacher can model this activity during whole group or small group instruction.
Run these copies on card stock and laminate. I recommend that on a 5x7 manila envelope place a sample card on the outer envelope, laminate it and place the remainder cards in envelope. This will help you keep activity together and available for student centers.
