A fun activity to get students engaged in the Omnivore's Dilemma (Young Reader's Edition) by Michael Pollan. Can be completed whole class, small group, or independently. Asks students to estimate and respond to questions that they have likely never considered before. Ex: How many farmers live and work in the United States today? or What one item appears the most in today’s grocery stores? Students record best estimate or answer, and then revise their responses in a separate column upon reading. Correct responses are included.
