Welcome friends! In my classroom we use TAP for our
On demand writing pre-writing strategy. When
learning about TAP I have found it useful to play a game
of Scoot. I hang the cards around the room and have students Scoot every minute or so, depending on how long they need. When we are done we check our work and discuss any misconceptions we might have. Finding the TAP before writing an on demand piece helps students narrow in on what is expected. You can also use the TAP introduction page
to help students understand that it means. I hang the TAP introduction page in the room until time for testing!
