On the Trail to Digital Citizenship: Evaluate Sources & Information is Lesson 4 in the 5-part program on information literacy and digital citizenship. Lesson 4 covers these 6 areas: differentiating between fact & opinion; recognizing bias; differentiating between data & information; determining the relevancy of information; determining the accuracy of information resources; and recognizing authorities of information resources. Lesson 4 includes informational slides, links to online resources, practices quizzes/exercises, and pre & post assessments. Lesson content centers around Kent State University’s TRAILS online assessment tool that can be used with this program to monitor student progress.
