Once Upon a Time in Christmas Village was written by Michele K. Garza, principal of a small Texas school. The play was written for elementary students in grades Pk through 5th.
What happens when Santa is just not in the Christmas spirit? It’s Mrs. Claus to the rescue! She calls their neighbors in Storybook land to help cheer Santa and get everyone in Christmas Village ready for the big day!
Characters from Brown Bear, Brown Bear, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, Mother Goose Rhymes, and the Polar Express all come to visit to cheer everyone from the reindeer to Santa and get them ready for Christmas Eve.
Written in rhyme the parts are easy to memorize. Script and songs provide everyone the opportunity to shine on stage. We performed it this past year and the community and parents loved it.
I have attached pictures from our play for inspiration for costumes and decorations at the end of the script.
I am happy to answer any questions.
