Reading Questions / Summary Assessment based on the novel by Morris Gleitzman.
Use this resource to keep students on track as they read the book. Alternatively use as a final assessment. It could also be used as an open book test / revision aid. Get students to re-read the book, using the questions to check how well they do this.
This is a multiple choice activity. The questions look deceptively easy, but this is not the case. Students have to pay great attention to answer all correctly. Questions are based on plot, characters, and key words. The questions are sequential, so if you're using in open book format, students should quickly see if they have missed an answer.
The 50 question format makes it easy to convert to percentages and grades.
The product consists of the quiz (6 pages) plus solution (1 page).
Also included is a one page answer sheet, on which students can mark their answers. This makes marking easier for you, and cuts down on paper use.
It is a Word document, so you can edit to suit your class.
Download the preview file to see the first few questions. Even if you don't purchase this product, you might find this useful for assessing how closely students are reading the novel.
