We used this with a beach/marine life unit, but it would be perfect for use with Dr. Seuss. I printed the fish on cardstock and affixed a paperclip to a piece of twine on the end of a dowel to use as a fishing rod. I hung up an aqua tablecloth on a suspension rod and knelt behind it. The children swung the "line" over the curtain and I affixed a fish. Every now and then, I'd attach a little piece of candy just to keep things exciting, making sure that each child got one. When I felt that each child had a wide enough variety of colored fish, we stopped and they sorted and graphed their results. It was a lot of fun!
