This One Page Summary (OPS) about Quadratic Functions was created by Pupsaroni Puzzles for use in the Algebra 1 classroom during the quadratic functions unit. This OPS is similar to the Linear Functions OPS posted previously. This was created so that students could see the relationships between all of the concepts of quadratic functions unit and how they relate to each other. Student are able to work on finding axis of symmetry, the vertex and whether it is a maximum or minimum, how the parabola opens (upward or downward), the parent function of this quadratic and how it is different from the parent function, the equation in standard form, the equation in "shifting" form, as well as function notation. Student also find the determinant, the domain, the range, a graph, a table, a mapping, and x-intercepts for the quadratic equation. This OPS for Quadratic Equations can be used as a homework assignment, a math station, a classroom assignment, and in an interactive notebook as well as for a summative assessment at the end of the unit.
