Students use a criteria sheet to create a One Page Wonder, demonstrating their understanding of content by including information in a creative and colorful student created poster that is hallway or bulletin board worthy.
One Page Wonders (OPW) provide an exciting alternate method to assess understanding of multiple subjects that spark student creativity and interest. OPWs can be used across the curriculum at many stages of a unit.
Try using OPWs to wrap up a literature unit, to explain mathematics concepts, as a tool for differentiation in assessment, or to demonstrate depth of knowledge in science or social studies.
Students will enjoy the creativity and uniqueness of each OPW they create.
OPWs require few resources to create, and engage students in invaluable hands-on interaction with curriculum.
