Description

Need a creative first day of school activity? Love one-pagers? This fun icebreaker activity will introduce your students to the one-pager method and guide them to easily share a lot about themselves with you and their classmates on the first day.

This is also a great activity to complement an identity-based literature unit or an autobiography project.

You'll find easy instructions that will give every student a roadmap to a successful one-pager, plus three different templates to try out.

This activity will give you the materials for an amazing classroom display you can put up on day two! Plus, you'll be astonished at how much you learn about your students as they create, share, and turn in these beautiful one-pagers.

From the Reviews:

  • "This was so open-ended and allowed me to really get to know a little about my students and allowed THEM to show so much creativity! Loved it. (And they were SO colorful & cool looking - great for a BOY display!)"
  • "Creative, colorful, and engaging for all with the element of choice in what they would include. My students were excited to introduce themselves to their mid-year teacher (me) through images and words that were important to them. Even those reluctant to share about themselves found ways to give me a glimpse of what they enjoy in life. Thank you for a resource that I am sure will adapt to any class I teach!"
  • "Love these so hard!"

Updated for Distance Learning in 2020: I've added a Google Drive link to an editable version you can use with your students online. They can simply insert images and text boxes to create their one-pagers online.

This product is also available as part of my One-Pagers Mega-Bundle. If you love one-pagers, check it out!
