What educators are saying

This resource is amazing! I am using it for all of our books we read in Unit 2, it really helped them organize their thoughts
My students enjoyed using this resource. It was a different way for them to show their learning. It is scaffolded well for the lower 6th graders.

Description

One page reading responses provide students with an engaging, creative, meaningful, and standards-based way to respond to any novel. One page responses give students ownership of their learning, allowing students to create their own text based question that they answer using evidence from the text. Students can get creative by adding powerful quotes, vocabulary, and illustrations to their one page response. Examples, brainstorming pages, and graphic organizers help students to craft compelling, well-planned responses to their reading.

Included in this product, you will find materials to help your students craft a traditional one page response or more focused one page responses that help students analyze the impact of plot, setting, and characters in a novel (standard RL 3).

For each one page response activity, you will get:
- Lesson plans
- Brainstorming worksheets
- Quote analysis graphic organizers
- Student examples
- Student checklist
- Scoring Rubric

Enjoy seeing your students dig deep into their novels in a fun and creative way with One Page Reading Responses!
