These slides consist of 10 one-step equations and multiple choice answers. After each equation slide is a slide containing the correct answer. They can be solved by either using equation solving process or by substituting in the answer choices.
I use these slides as an introduction to substitution and/or solving equations and have my students come up with a plan for solving the problems. Then I teach how to substitute in answer choices to determine the correct choice. However, they can be also used after teaching one-step equations.
