A fun twist on a practice worksheet! Students solve a multiplication or division equation, which leads them to the next equation, which leads them to the next, until they complete the worksheet!
These worksheets can be used as in-class practice, homework, or formative assessments.
THREE worksheets are included in this set:
1) Solving 1-step multiplication/division equations (no negative integers)
2) Solving 1-step multiplication/division equations (with negative integers)
3) Defining the variable and writing equations from word problems.
A fourth sheet is included to have students solve the equations from the word problem sheet, including writing their answers in a complete sentence.
TO BE ADDED SOON: A scavenger hunt worksheet involving fractional coefficients and other rational numbers.
Each worksheet has 12 problems.
Students are motivated by the self-checking nature of this activity. They are also more willing to seek help if they can't find the solution, so they can move on to the next problem!
The 12th problem is the most challenging; however, students have to solve this one without knowing whether or not they are correct. For the last problem, students write down their solutions.
Each problem has enough space for students to show work.
Answer keys are also included!
