This product includes three different cut-and-paste activities focused on solving one-step inequalities in order to give you more options in the classroom and help with differentiation. While negative integers are used in the activities, there are no inequalities where the sign must be flipped due to multiplying or dividing by a negative number. The first activity has addition and subtraction problems only, while the second activity focuses on multiplication and division problems. The third activity has all four operations. You can use them as pre and post assessments; an extension of student notes; small group or partner activity; enrichment; in math centers, etc.
I typically have students complete these types of activities on either construction paper (if I want to display work or make it stand out in their binder), or directly into their notebooks as reference material. I have also used them in math centers where three students are working together and each walks away with two problems and answers on half sheets of colored paper which are later glued into their notebooks. A blank worksheet for pasting all six questions along with the answer and corresponding graph s is also included. The worksheet could also be cut into three strips if students are working together to solve.
