Tired of making resolutions for the New Year with your class that lose meaning after the first week? Try this new trend of making one word resolutions to start the New Year off right! The words students choose can be easily revisited throughout the rest of the school year.
Students will choose one word that defines what they want their year to be like. They will write it down, add their own unique spin to it, and color/draw on it to reflect the word they chose.
I print the template cards out on different colored cardstock and then cut into 4 pieces. I plan to hang ours up on the hallway bulletin board for the first month of school so students are seeing their word around the building!
