Blending reading, writing, AND creativity...my students are hooked on one-pagers!
Here are four templates for one-pagers that my students use regularly in class. We use these templates for novels, short stories, children's books, and poetry. They are a great way for students to show their knowledge while enjoying the process.
I have uploaded the Word Document so that you can edit the "My One-pager Checklist" box on each instructions page if you would like to. We assess different skills each time, but we always have our students focus on the theme, main ideas, and figurative language. We also use these front and back so our students have the checklist and instructions, an example done by the teacher, and their final draft on the back. You could let your students use the smaller version of the template on the front of the page for their rough draft instead of giving them a teacher example.
Each template is fixed on the page so there should not be any accidental movement.
If you and your students enjoy these templates as much as mine did please let me know!
