Counting Cube Towers!

Counting Cube Towers is a fun and engaging counting game for your early numeracy learners.

How To Use

Print the game boards and laminate for durability.

This game can be played by students individually or in partner pairs. Each game board will also need counting cubes for students to link together and place onto their game board.

To play, students will will choose one of the numerals or number words on their game board. Then they will count out the corresponding number of counting cubes and create a tower to place on top of the numeral/number word. Once they have placed a tower, they can choose a new number to complete. If playing in partners, each child can take a turn choosing a number.

I have also included two differentiated recording sheets for students to use while playing or as an extension worksheet. There are two different game boards included. One that focuses on numbers 1-10 and the other that focuses on numbers 11-20.

This activity makes a great math center or workstation. It also makes a great fast finisher activity or it can be used as an informal assessment for one to one correspondence.
