This guide is intended to help online instructors and support staff in distance education programs. It incorporates instructional theories, best practices, research, and technologies that support an online community of inquiry (COI) to ensure cognitive presence, social presence, and teacher presence in distance education. I think you'll find this guide useful. It's set-up for a three-month timeline but can be used for any time frame. Feel free to contact me with any questions or feedback. I've been successfully using this guide on the job for two years and still consider it a work-in-progress, one that I feel confident in sharing with you now.
