"Only One You" by Linda Kranz is a great read-aloud book! In this activity, students from grades 3 to 5 practice their listening skills and apply their understanding of the story to Common Core comprehension questions. Included are multiple-choice, short answer and some extended response items.
I have also included an answer key for you.

Usually, I read and enjoy the book with my class, either projecting it or gathering my little people close together. This is a book of life lessons couched in a little fish story. I usually share this book at the beginning of the year and we revisit it often. My students requested we read it again during our Landforms and Earth Materials unit in Science because this was a book with painted rocks!
We discuss this bright, colorful text as we go and students often want to talk about applying some of the life lessons in our classroom. So fun!
