This original song, DO YOU HEAR?, combines children's love for music with learning how to hear and differentiate the onset part of a word.
Onset and rime is a way to divide one syllable into two parts. The onset is everything before the vowel and the rime is the vowel and everything after. For example: trip -- tr / ip, straw -- str / aw. This is an important step for children to prepare to learn to hear and use individual phonemes in words.
