The Bet - Anton Checkov
The Rocking Horse Winner - D.H. Lawrence

This unit includes assessment as learning and assessment of learning strategies, as well as a rubric for the final task.

There are learning goals and success criteria for each unit (the expectations were taken from the grade 12 U curriculum, but could be modified to suit other grades).

Many tasks make use of critical thinking framework and encourage students to develop criteria for judgement in order to form responses to the texts.
