SAMPLE LEVEL TWO LANGUAGE COMMENT FOR PROGRESS REPORTS:
Reading: We have been focusing on using knowledge of words and cueing systems to read fluently. *N* is beginning to read a few high frequency words and with some support is developing the ability to decode unfamiliar words. *4* is encouraged to read patterned and simple texts at home, as to increase *2* knowledge of sight vocabulary. *4* will be guided to point to each word and use a variety of reading cues, when encountering unknown words (e.g., look at the pictures and say the first sound, stretch out the word).
Writing: The students have been generating and gathering ideas to write words or simple sentences. *N* is beginning to spell a few high-frequency words, and sometimes remembers to use our print rich-environment. *4* sounds out correctly, some unknown words. *N* will be guided
