Engage your students by doing some sick science with them in October! All you need is a baby pumpkin, a jar, and this packet. Show students the pumpkin on day 1 of your experiment and place it in a jar. Then observe the pumpkin once a week, twice a week, daily, or use it as a center (whatever fits your needs and classroom best)! Use these recording sheets for students to place into a science journal to keep a record of their thoughts and observations throughout the month as the pumpkin molds and rots. Kids love to look at the gross pumpkin at the end of the month!
*You may want to "help" your pumpkin along by choosing one that is already bruised or dropping it a bit before showing it to students so they can get the most out of the experiment.
