Op Art, short for optical art, is a form of abstract art that gives the illusion of movement by the precise use of pattern and color, or in which conflicting patterns emerge and overlap. Bridget Riley and Victor Vasarely are considered to be leaders of the Op Art movement.
In this project, students will construct a variety of polygons on grid paper. They will demonstrate their knowledge of applying area formulas. They will design and color Op Art using a two-color technique known as an AB Pattern.
The compressed folder contains both a pdf and a Word version of the project.
