This worksheet goes with a Middle/High School Op Art Lesson. It gives students an idea of how to alternate between colors before creating their own Op Art Drawings.
This could also be used as a Sub Plan and be completed with a Substitute Teacher.
I have students choose 2 colors and begin by filling in the top corner. They then skip one (going any direction) and color the next one. They continue to color every other one until 1/2 of the spaces are colored. To finish, they fill the remaining spaces in with their 2nd color. I encourage them to lightly "x" the spaces that will be one color and verify with the teacher if they are confused before getting to far into the worksheet.
