Product Description
This is a vocabulary bundle that aligns with the Open Court Reading Series. All of the activities within this bundle correlate with the story from Unit 1, Week 2, "Queen of the Track".

This bundle includes a vocabulary organizer, a vocabulary review activity that students may complete in pairs or individually, vocabulary skit cards which can be used in a center or in small groups to practice vocabulary meaning, and vocabulary cards that you can print out on colored paper for an adorable display that students can refer to throughout the week. After you have finished with the words, they can be added to a word wall to help students retain their new vocabulary.

The vocabulary organizer and review activity will allow you to display them and complete them with the entire class. I do this weekly with my vocabulary organizer as I am introducing the words. It is a great way to keep all of my students engaged and participating while we fill in our organizer. It could also be useful if you are going over the vocabulary review together, or if you are using it in a literacy center. It would make the center self-checking.

The vocabulary review activity requires students to define the words, complete analogies, and create pairs using the terms & then identify those pairs as synonyms or antonyms. This is a great way to assess word knowledge and application at the same time! This would be an excellent activity for you to put in a literacy center!

I hope you enjoy these products. Please be on the lookout for more products related to the Open Court Series. Please remember to leave feedback if you enjoy these products! Thank you!
