What elementary student doesn't want to go to Disney World?! Get students engaged in budgeting and decomposing numbers by planning a Disney World vacation! The budget is left blank for you to fill in the numbers your students are working on before you make copies. I typically do three different budgets to differentiate for my kids (usually a two-digit and three-digit number).
This activity not only helps develop skills for decomposing numbers, but has students discussing "wants and needs" as well! We did this before winter break, and my students LOVED it!! It also works really well as a workstation. I hope you enjoy as much as we did! :)
