Use this mini-bundle of Supplementary Open House Resources to get your classroom looking polished for the big night. They coordinate with all of my night-themed Open House resources!
The resources are all PowerPoint files and come in both color and greyscale. The greyscale resources work well for photocopiers, and you can even try them out with your favorite Astrobrights paper.
The Question Box works great if you know you’re going to have a big turn-out. It gives parents an option to leave you a note if they have something to ask about their child, or if things are just too busy and they don’t get a chance to ask you something. Hang up the included sign on, or next to, a box or basket, and leave some small pieces of paper and a pen nearby.
The Letter from the Teacher Paper allows you to leave a short, personalized note on each students’ desk. This would make the perfect ending place on a classroom scavenger hunt! If you think you might not get around to this, these can be used for just about anything, including slips for parents to write on at the Question Box.
Draw parents' attention to the sign in sheet with the "Please Sign In" sign. It prints on a full sheet of paper and folds in half lengthwise. For best results, I would print it on heavier paper or card stock. This sign coordinates perfectly with my FREE Sign In Sheets.
I mostly used the font Museo Slab, which is a paid font, but you can get a free download of the 500 weight Museo Slab here. You can also pair another font of your choosing. I would recommend a sans serif typeface, meaning it doesn’t have the little “feet” on the bottom. An example of a sans serif would be a font like Century Gothic.
Open House can be one of those stressful times for teachers! Use this mini-bundle to help tie up loose ends.
I'd love to hear how your Open House goes!
