Product Description
This product outlines important information you should give to your parents on back to school night. It also includes a print-ready questionnaire that you can cut and hand out to parents as they walk in. You’ll be surprised by their candid responses that are often insightful and can give you information about a student you wouldn’t know otherwise.

Included in this resource:
1. Practical guide to what you should include in your open house handout in a PowerPoint format.

It’s easy and ready for you to post on your interactive board and use the bullets as your points of reference when speaking to the parents. Parents can take this form home with them. This also serves as a method of communication between you and parents that you can document for your teacher evaluation. The following day you can send home copies of this Open House Form with the students whose parents couldn’t make it to open house.

2. A questionnaire where parents will give you their email address and let you know a little bit about more about their son/daughter.

TWO VERSIONS of the questionnaire are included. The second questionnaire also asks for the parent’s phone number and best time to be reached. Parents can also circle YES or NO as to whether they want a parent conference to be scheduled. 3 questionnaires to a sheet (so you’ll have to print 10 copies for a class of 30)

Suggested Implementation:
As soon as parents come in, I have copies of the handout ready for them to take. They also grab a questionnaire that they fill out as the rest of the parents come in.

I then go over that same information that’s on their sheet by having it posted on my interactive board. If I make reference to a textbook, materials like a calculator, or a website, I make sure that I have it readily available so that I can show it to the parents.

Once my ten minutes are up, I collect the questionnaires as they exit the room.
