These anchor charts are formated to fit in a composition book for use in student journals. They are placed two to a page to help with printing. The intent is for students to be able to use them as a math "dictionary" while engaged in independent practice. There are 30 anchor charts that cover all parts of the Operations and Algebraic Thinking common core standards for third grade. These charts also are based off of the item specs for the Florida Standards Assessment (FSA). I use them as the "I Do / We Do" portion of my mini-lessons. They are glued into the teacher side of the journal and the "You Try It" section is completed on the next blank page. The essential question is answered incorporating writing into math. Student practice is then given using district curriculum or task cards.
