Students add, subtract, multiply, and divide integers. I have come up with this GENIUS method for adding and subtracting integers that is based on hot dogs and buns. Okay, okay, so it's not too genius. And maybe it's a gimmick way to do it and corny (dog) as can be but for students who continually make mistakes (you know who I'm talking about) it will give them a method of working with negatives and positives that should reduce the errors. I have students who just never seem to grasp the concept of adding and subtracting integers and this is a far better alternative to me than giving up and handing them a calculator. I'm also thinking this is a good method for students who are just starting out to give them some confidence. They won't need the hot dogs forever.
I have included two 33-question worksheets along with the keys.
