Math Teacher's Got Problems presents a fun, engaging way for students to practice solving problems with rational numbers. NO students like to sit and solve problems, but as math teachers we know practice is the key to mastery. This is a favorite activity of my students. (Yes, math practice is their FAVORITE). 15 problems, including positive and negative decimals and fractions, are each hidden by a well known cartoon character. Students must solve each problem correctly to finish the hunt. I use this in my 7th grade math class during Unit 1, "Operations with Rational Numbers". It is aligned with the common core mathematical standards for 7th grade number systems. It would also be a great review activity for 8th grade or pre-algebra. This product is print ready, takes minimal prep, includes an answer key, directions and tips for teacher use and ideas for intervention and enrichment. This activity will be a guaranteed hit with your students. Make solving problems with rational numbers, NOT your problem!
