Do you need a set of papers for your children to write opinion pieces? This is a great set to encourage opinion writing through the year.
This group of papers encourage children's opinions through the month. This group includes pages for sports, seasons, weather, foods, pets, Fall, October, November, December, Winter and February.
Each page includes a question on the topic. It asks the child to draw a picture of themselves doing that item that they picked and then they are to give three opinions as to why they picked that item. There is plenty of room to write their opinions below this part of the page.
Each set includes one black and white paper, one colored paper and an extra page (I would print back to back) for extra writing lines.
For each page you will find the following:
~ What kind of job would you rather have?
Fireman, Teacher, Veterinarian, Doctor, Dentist, Construction
Worker, or a Cook
~ What kind of pet would you like to have?
A bird, a rabbit, a dog, a cat
~ What kind of weather would you like to have?
A sunny day, a rainy day, a day full of rainbows, a cloudy day
~ In the Fall, would you rather
build a scarecrow or crunch in a pile of leaves
~ In the fall, would you rather have
a basket of apples or a basket of pumpkins
~ In the fall, would you rather find
an apple tree or a spooky old tree
~ In October- carve a short pumpkin, carve a tall pumpkin
~ October- have a small, medium or large pumpkin
~ October-go through pumpkin patch or through corn maze
~ October-meet a mummy or a ghost
~ October- go in a graveyard or a haunted house
~ Seasons- Summer, fall, winter, spring
~ Food- hamburger, pizza, hot dog
~ Birthday party- piece of cake, cupcake
~ Summer- apples or watermelon
~ Sport- baseball, skateboarding, football, soccer, tennis, basketball
~ December- candy canes
~ December- meet a reindeer, or elf
~ December- peppermint candy, gingerbread cookies
~ December- wrap presents, decorate your house
~ February- bear with hearts, bunny with hearts
~ February- chocolate candies, conversation hearts
~ February- candies or cupcakes
~ Winter- sledding, build a snowman
~ Winter- snowball fight, ice skating
~ Winter- skiing, snowboarding
~ Winter- live in igloo or cabin
~ Winter- sit by fire, play in snow
~ Thanksgiving- set the table, help Mom cook
~ Thanksgiving- eat turkey or pumpkin pie
